Q: Is it difficult to learn how to use the program?
A: One of the reasons to choose Extract is its user-friendliness. To learn the basic skills in diagram drawing it is enough to go through the included tutorial, a self-study document. This tutorial is included also in the demo version. Extract is structured very much like a drawing program and if you are familiar with e.g. Microsoft® PowerPoint®, there will be no problems. Context sensitive on-line help is also available.

Q: Do you give courses in multivariate data analysis?
A: Courses are given on a demand basis. Please contact info@extractinformation.com and express your interest.

Q: Who is using Extract?
A: Extract users are found in many places. Companies: M-real, Holmen, Billerud, SCA, Frövifors Bruk, CDM and ABB. Industrial research institutes: STFi and KCL. Universities: Mid Sweden University, Umeå University and Linköpings University.

Q: Extract Information is a small company; will the software continue to be developed?
A: Extract 1.0 saw the light in 1990, Extract 3.0, the first commercial version was released in 1995 and in 1999 Extract 4.0 was ready. The most recent version, 5.0, was released autumn 2007. Extract was one of the first Windows based programs for multivariate statistical analysis and many unique and powerful features have been included over the years. Developing new and improving existing features will continue.

Q: If I would like to see a new feature or modify an existing feature in Extract, what do I do?
A: Please get in contact with Extract Information AB, preferably by sending an e-mail to support@extractinformation.com. Customer requests have resulted in many additional features in Extract. Extract Information AB takes pride in being flexible in supporting its customers. Registered users with valid support agreements can download updated program versions from this website.

Q: If I find a bug in Extract, what do I do?
A: Please get in contact with Extract Information AB, preferably by sending an e-mail to support@extractinformation.com. Describe what you did before the problem occurred and if you can repeat the problem. To speed up bug hunting, please attach the Extract document and the data file to the e-mail.
